Our reformulated Color Icon hues come in a mix of coveted colors, from shimmery daytime hues to sultry shades for cocktail hours—including new matte transitional shades for impeccable blending.Powerfully pigmented, buttery-soft, glides on like a dream. That’s what we dreamed up with our reformulated Color Icon eyeshadows. Our reformulated Color Icon hues come in a mix of coveted colors, from shimmery daytime hues to sultry shades for cocktail hours—including new matte transitional shades for impeccable blending. This 10-pan palette comes in two shades, Nude Awakening and Bare Necessities. They retail for $4.99 (new packaging), but the prices vary depending where you buy them. Packaging: This palette doesn't include a double-ended brush like the Studio Eyeshadow palette. It included a sponge applicator. The palette itself is small, light, and slick. It is a very basic palette. It is a lot better than their Studio eyeshadow palette in my opinion. It is still very thin, cheap plastic like most drugstore palettes. I find very easy to throw in any makeup bag because it is very small and the lid actually remains close!! There is nothing special about the packaging really, so let's move on! Formula: As for the shadows themselves, they vary in formula. However, they are very pigmented. The palette includes 5 mattes and 5 shimmers. In the case of the mattes, they are very powdery and dry. The shimmers are a lot smoother but when I swiped them with my finger they did crumble a bit. when dipping my brush, there is kick up. In other words, the shadow goes everywhere lol. It is very hard to keep you colors and palette clean. BACK to the shadow formula, it is very different to their trios and 8-pan palettes. Overall, it isn't the worst formula but it isn't Wet n Wild's best. I have tried their new reformulated and repackaged 10-pan palettes and I can tell you that the formula is way better for those shadows. SO, if you are going to buy this palette, I recommend getting the new version. Overall thoughts: I think this palette is a perfect, natural palette. It is very versatile! I forgot to include the picture but on the back it provides a few diagrams to follow. It is an affordable option to buy if you are beginning with makeup. However, if you have other neutral drugstore palettes, they might resemble this one. So, what am I saying you may ask. If you have palettes that resemble these, don't pick it up, you'd just have repeated palettes and you aren't missing out on anything, but if you're collection is small, give this a try.

Product Description: Powerfully pigmented, buttery-soft, glides on like a dream. That’s what we dreamed up with our reformulated Color Icon eyeshadows. Our reformulated Color Icon hues come in a mix of coveted colors, from shimmery daytime hues to sultry shades for cocktail hours—including new matte transitional shades for impeccable blending. It comes in four shades: Not a Basic Peach, Comfort Zone, Nude Awakening, and Rosé in the Air. They retail for $4.99 at your local drugstore. Packaging: Okay so, where do I start. These palettes are basicly a reformulation and repackaging of their old og eyeshadow palettes. The only difference is that they add two different shades and to the existing shades they added transition colors. I freaking LOVE this new addition, which consists of a warm and cool tone transition shade. Anyways, I went side tracked, but the packaging is VERY different to the original one. There is one transition shade on top and one the bottom and the others are side by side. The container, or packaging, itself is black with a clear lid which opens up like a book. I didn't include a picture but on the back it provides diagrams you can follow to achieve looks with said palette. BUT WAIT! They actually numbered the shades! Overall, the packaging isn't something to die for but it serves its purpose. Formula: OKAY. So let's get down to business. To what everyone is here for. The star of the show. The eyeshadows are so freaking creamy and smooth and glide like damn butter! The mattes feel like heaven! The shimmers and metals are...... Out of this world. I would have to add though that the mattes are a tiny bit powdery and do have some kickup. As you can see they are very pigmented and that is without primer, so imagine what it will look like!! The color combinations are awesome if I may say so myself. These palette is one of the newer ones. This palette is perfect for the spring and the summer. It is very warm toned and has unique pops of colors. Overall, this formula is a 10 out of 10. Overall Thoughts: So I am pretty sure you know by now how I feel about this palette. I am very pleased with it. I would definitely by the other three, if they were not always out of stock. So if you can get them, GET THEM! The reformulation was a miracle and I can not think of any reason why you would be disappointed. They are super affordable and high quality. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, these palettes have some dupes which I will put down below. I hope you are able to get your hands on them because these won't let you down. Have you tried them? Do you plan on getting them? Let me know down below.
Product Description: 9-color eyeshadow palette assorted with two mixes. (Featured: Mix 2) You can get this palette on Amazon, Shop Miss A and their own website. I got this at my local swamp meet at a makeup stand and got it for $3. It features 6 mattes and 3 shimmers. Packaging: The lid and the palette itself are made out of very sturdy plastic. The top is a clear lid with their name on the top left. It comes with a spongy applicator just like any other affordable palette. The bottom compartment it comes in is a freaking mirror! Yes!! Perfect to take on the go. It is less than half of an inch but it works perfect!!The eyeshadows are compacted in 9 little pop up pans. Overall, it is a pretty basic palette. Formula: The first couple layers of powder are not the best. It will be a disappointment at first because it doesn't provide much pigment and has a bit of fallout, but after you pass those few layers, they are wonderful! Once you hit the jackpot, they are very creamy and soft!! The white and the warm orange tone shade (second shade of the first row) remind of the formula of the Maybelline's Bouncy Blush. The matters are full with pigment and the shimmers are plain amazing!! I do say that the shimmers have a bit more fall out than the mattes which is a surprise to me. Overall, the formulation of this palette is very extraordinary for the price it ranges in. Overall Thoughts: If you are able to get this in your hands, do so!! It has become my favorite palette!! It is perfect for everyday and it is travel friendly. It is affordable and very convenient. I can not express how much I have fallen in love with this. It is very versatile to any skin tone. If you are not into the warm tones, you can purchase Mix 1 which is a bit more cooler. I say, if you ever come across this palette, grab it and run!! Let me know down below in the comments if you have ever heard about this brand or if you have it in your collection. See you till next time!
Product Details: The trios come in a variety of colors that are arranged in beautiful combinations. Fun fact: I found that the trio names are flower related and the quads are school/ education related.
Packaging: These beautiful eyeshadows are packaged in the most basic containers you can find. L.A. Colors isn't big on packaging, however it is not bad. I really like the fact that the lids are see through which allow me to see the colors without having to open them. For the quads, I do think the packaging is a bit cheaper than the trio. The lid for the quad is very thin and doesn't clasp very good thus opening easily. It still serves it's purpose but I wouldn't throw it around if I don't want it to break. Formula: Both the quads and the trios and very pigmented for one freaking dollar! The trios are more on the chalky side as opposed to the quads. The mattes are far more dry than the shimmers, which is what tends to happen in the more affordable palettes. The shimmers are much more pigmented, creamier, and smoother than the mattes. The formulation for the quads is my favorite out of both palettes. Also, the trios have just a tiny bit of kick up and the quad has some fallout, which isn't something super noticeable. On my arms, you can see that they are chalky but don't be fooled, they don't look that way on the eyes. Overall, the formulation of these eyeshadows can be compared to other drugstore eyeshadows. (Side Note: I found that the trios have been repackaged and reformulated which is great!) Overall thoughts: I am very impressed and happy with these little palettes. Dollar Tree has so many hidden gems and I consider these some. Their performance is extraordinary for a palette that costs a buck! Like seriously you are getting 3 or 4 colors for one freaking dollar! Best part is that they include matte shades that can be used as transition shades which is super convenient to carry around when traveling. They have many combinations that I personally think fit to everyone's preferences! I am very please especially since they already do so good without a primer. With a bit of deep research I discovered that the shades in Sunflower are dupes for higher brand eyeshadows. Crazy! (Dupes will be below) Overall, if you don't already own these palettes, what are you doing?? Run and get them while they are still out! Tell me down below if you have seen, purchased, or own any of these palettes. Or you can just say hello :) Thank you for reading. See you soon!
Product Details: The Colormates eye shadow is made from premium quality materials and offers twelve paraben free salon formula shades that can be worn separately or blended for a personalized look. This convenient, easy to apply, true color make up is long wearing for that rich, smooth, natural finish. Colormates is a cruelty free brand at an affordable price. You can purchase them at Dollar Tree or the 99 cents store. They retail for a buck and come in a variety of shades. I only saw two Cool shades and two Warm shades at my store but it can vary. Packaging: Like most cosmetics from the dollar store, it is packaged in very cheap and flimsy material. However, I do think it is more sturdy than the L.A. Color palette. Both packaging are the same with the clear lid. Overall, packaging shouldn't be what you look for at these types of store cosmetics. They do there job which is a 10/10 for me. Formula: I found the palettes in two shade options, warm and cool. They are mixed with mattes and shimmers which is BIG plus for any palette. The shadow themselves are very very creamy and smooth. However, in the swatches you can see how some clump up because of how creamy they are. When dipping your brush there is a little bit up kick up, however there isn't a lot of fall out which I can live with. The mattes are wonderful, it is difficult to find creamy and pigmented matte/ transition shades in affordable palettes. This palette has one cool brown matte, one light warm brown matte, and a dark warm brown matte which work wonders in the crease. SUPER PIGMENTED! Overall thoughts: You really can't go wrong with these. C'mon the swatches above are without primer, imagine the pigment provided with a primer. For a dollar, you aren't really loosing anything so if you can, I would totally get them! They are perfect for all year. They are arranged in combinations that will suit your skin tone which is a big plus. There is no going back when using these babies. Let me know down below in the comment section if you have either tired them, seen them or thinking of getting your hands on them! Colors® Expressions 12-Color Eyeshadow Palette with Applicator assorted among color sets: Chic, Traditional, Glamorous, Trendy, Supernatural, and Urban. They retail for $1 at Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, and Dollar General. Packaging: They are packaged in cheap plastic which is not the best but for the price it is what it is. The top is clear with their name on it. With time, it rubs off which isn't pretty but whatever right. The eyeshadows are divided in 12 individual pans on the black side of the palette. On the bottom, it has a clear sticker that tells you the name of the palette. Overall, the packing does it's job so I won't complain. Formula: The palette comes in variety of colors, cool, warm, purples and etc. They are mostly shimmer but as you wear them down they have a more satin look. I would say more than 50% of the eyeshadows are powdery and have a lot of fallout. On the bright side, they are very creamy and pigmented for the most part! I was so impressed the first time I used them. The two palettes I have include at least 2 transition matte shades which I totally love. Overall, I think this palette is pretty dope and good for the price you pay. Overall thoughts: I think this is a great palette to have in your collection. It is perfect to toss in your bag when on the go. It has all the colors to create a beautiful natural eye look. The swatches provided above are without primer so you guys can see the pigment!
